It was much more humid than it's been in a while, and I could feel it. Went for a ride around noon. I had to cut it short, only eight miles, because I had to head up to Somerville, but I felt drained even so, out of gas by the time I even got as far as the cemetary. My time was lousy, although I still haven't recalibrated to computer, so that might be some of it. The other thing was that just before I started, the bike fell over on it's side, and knocked the rear derailleur out of alignment, so that the gears didn't match up with the shifters. That wouldn't be too bad, but the there's a spot in the middle where the middle gear gets skipped completely, which is not fun at all. Feh. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Probably tomorrow.

Somerville was great fun, as usual, another birthday party, this time for [livejournal.com profile] noradeirdre. There was great food, ribs and barbeque with all the fixin's, plus lots of beverages, and a wonderful cake. Nora got to show off the world's cutest nephew, and Nutty brought a can of silly string, which always livens up a party.

Meanwhile, I've been working on a couple of Kinks sampler CDs of representative tracks covering thirty years worth of material. Lots of fun, but awfully difficult to decide. It really needs to be three disks, but that's a little much. More on this another time.
