It was one year ago today that I started this LJ thing. I'd never really kept any kind of journal before, so I wondered then if I would keep it up. I did, 242 entries worth so far, so go me. Then, I was talking about my bike:

I rode on Monday, Tuesday, and tonight, 31 miles total. Monday the weather was gorgeous, blue skies, 70's, light breeze... Tuesday was 80's, hazy, and humid, with a pretty stiff wind... Tonight was 60's, gray, with almost no wind...

What a difference a year makes. I haven't been able to ride at all in a month because of the frelling weather. It's raining again today. It rained yesterday, and the day before, too. It's also supposed to rain tomorrow! We've been getting one non-rainy day a week, and that gets reserved for mowing the lawn. Getting so frustrated with it all. I want to ride my bike. I want to be able to take advantage of the latest sunsets of the year. I want some frelling sunshine in my life!

Alex and Durrah are driving up from Jersey today to visit, and we were talking about going to Boston tomorrow, but if it's raining that option holds much less appeal. Still, I have lots of DVDs and VCDs for entertainment, and Alex and I will probably set up Flight Simulator 2002 at some point. The house is mostly clean, except that I still have to clear off the bed in the attic so that *I'll* have a place to sleep while they're here. I also have to figure out where the heck I stashed my extra sets of sheets and pillowcases. Couldn't find them last night.

Damn this weather is depressing...

Actually I don't think they are competent enough to control the weather. Evil? yes. Able? No.
