Friday Five - Organization

dxmachina1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
Not the least little bit. I tend to keep too much in my head, and I also tend to be absent-minded.
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
No, nothing apart from occasional notes on my wall calendar.
3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
Not really. My work desk has assorted piles on it, and I can find things quickly enough, but no one else could. My boss regularly despairs at the state of my office. Oddly, since I had to clean it out when we got the new carpeting back around Christmas, it's actually in much better shape than it's been in years.
My desk at home is a complete disaster. Bills, tax stuff, correspondence, and notes are scattered amongst huge piles. I really need to do something about that. Or not...
4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
Right now, most of my stuff like this is still in boxes in the attic, for lack of adequate storage downstairs. I've always alphabetized LPs and fiction when I've had them shelved. I'm now to the point of having enough CDs and DVDs to do it, as well, so I probably will.
5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
My life. All the above considerations all stem from the same source.
