LJ Weirdness

Huh. I just checked my profile page, and it says I have 30 friends, and am the friend of 30 people. Thing is, when you actually count the folks listed, I am only the friend of 28 people. Very odd. It was working properly yesterday. I wonder if I have two invisible secret friends.

I think it counts your "members of". At least, my "friends of" is three short, and I'm member of three groups.

I think that's it, too. However, it didn't do that as recently as yesterday. No big deal, but odd.

I reported the bug, and got the following note back from the LJ Tech Support:

As you have noticed, a change was made today to the code which generates the User Info page, causing the Friends Of section to erroneously indicate the sum of the number of people who list you as a friend, and the number of communities you are a member of.

LiveJournal developers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it.
