Yardwork...

It was cooler and much windier yesterday, but still sunny, making it perfect for some yardwork. I pruned a bunch of low hanging limbs from the Bradford pears, and hauled all the detritus back into the evil thicket. I need to hack that back a bit too. Maybe next weekend. I also planted a tomato plant in a big pot, and stuck that in what's left of the daffodil patch on the sunny side of the house so it can suck up all that solar goodness.

The Dodgers got their first sweep of the year with a laugher over the Brewers, as Aaron Sele pitched well in his triumphant return to the bigs.

Hey, can I still do that? Do I still have time to stick a tomato in a pot? When would it yield?

Sure. Just get a seedling at the garden center. Depending on the type, you should have tomatoes by the end of July or early August. I'm actually a week or two early for my neck of the woods.
