Inventor denies using dead cats for fuel.

I don't see why there was so much outcry, even if he was using dead cats. I mean, they'd already be dead, right? I could see it if he was actually stuffing live cats into the gas tank (put a tiger in your tank...), but the claim was that he was using ex-cats. Also, if you can use dead cats, it means you could use any sort of dead animal.

Well, aren't fossil fuels actually dead cats, just, they've been dead a really really long time? And smooshed into the earth.

The real question is, where did he get the dead cats? That's not exactly the sort of thing you can guy at Target, so if he is making his own, it's still an issue. If he's just got a cozy relationship with a local veterinarian, then it's a matter of whether the cat-owners donated their Fluffies to science, or got ashtray-contents instead of Fluffy's ashes in a jar.
