I'm surprised Music was so high, but the questions never asked how well I can actually *read* music. Which is not all that well, and certainly not on the fly while I'm playing. I pretty much learn music by remembering the key positions.
When I was a kid, one of my mom's best friends was a blind woman who lived across the street from us. Norma was my sister Laura's godmother (I'm Laura's godfather). She used to play the organ in our church, and I always marveled at this because it meant she had to memorize all of the hymns she needed to know, and this just boggled my mind. But that's the way I have to do it, unless I'm just playing the chords.
