Actually, I did quite well in the gift department. More on that, later.

The drive down was miserable. It was raining torrents, and the traffic was backed up for miles from the Tappan Zee. When I finally got to Jane's, I must have looked quite on edge, because people were backing away from from me.

OTOH, they had been waiting for me to arrive so that presents could be opened, so they were remarkably tolerant of me while I decompressed. Got lots of good loot, including a spare set of Firefly DVDs from Rie that I will probably exchange for Buffy S5. (It was a Firefly Christmas for the Machinas. I gave Sue and Laura each a copy, too.) Got a bunch of gift cards and cash, and some neat prezzies. The presents given seemed well received. I gave favorite niece a punching bag, and she loved it. Another bitty!Buffy (or maybe a bitty!serenada) in the making. Rie squeed when she unwrapped her TTT-EE DVDs. The others seemed happy, too.

Other good things happened. SIL gave up her plan to host Christmas dinner, so it'll be at Rie's, as is right and proper. Also, the outlaws aren't even here, which is very unusual.

Ignoring the trip down (it's in the past, I shall not dwell...) it's been a pretty good day. Time to do the Snoopy dance!

Merry Christmas, everybody!

LOL, I got Buffy S5 and am secretly yearning for Firefly instead. But I will probably shell out for Firefly, or my birthday is in February, and husband owes me big time since Santa brought him a bigass digital camera.

I have most of Buffy S5 on tape, but I never got Firefly on tape because of the infant child factor. In fact, there are even gaps of 5-10 minutes here and there in my viewing of the show (happens when you're a breastaurant).
