Big Things

Of all the fictional universes I'm familiar with, I think my favorite is still Larry Niven's Known Space. It's just... neat. It's not even so much for what Niven's shown us in detail over the years, but rather about the places and races that have just been mentioned or seen in passing. One reason I keep reading the Man-Kzinti Wars series is that many of the stories are set on Wunderland, a place Niven never took us.
