I'm not sure that there's anything I find more boring than economics. This proved to be a problem for me back when I was married to an economist, culminating in falling sound asleep on the couch halfway through proofreading her Master's thesis. Of course a couple years later she got bored with the subject, too, but I digress.

Terry Pratchett's latest novel, Making Money, is his take on economics and monetary theory, but even that wasn't enough to interest me in the subject. It's still an entertaining book, I'm just not sure I'm getting the kind of enjoyment out of it that someone who cares about this stuff would. There are some good character moments, especially with Vetinari, along with some very funny gags. Even mediocre Pratchett is better than average.
