Back in First.
What a difference a week makes. The Dodgers have won eight of out their last ten, and five straight, to climb back into a tie for first with the Padres. The Jints are a half game back. Last night Kaz Ishii threw a one hitter to complete a sweep of Arizona, 11-0. Not bad considering they are still near the bottom of the league in runs scored. I suspect it's going to be a long season.
This week saw the end of Eric Gagne's streak of eighty-four consecutive saves when he blew one against Arizona Monday night. It turned out to be harmless as the Dodgers won in extra innings. How impressive was the streak? ( The Streak )
