Friday Five - Names
Sep. 12th, 2003 09:25 am1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?
Yup.
2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?
Wouldn't change a thing. I like my name.
3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)
I'm a "III", so I'm named for my father and for my grandfather.
4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?
I dislike names that parents have stuck on kids purely for shock value or to show how cool *they* are (e.g. Dweezil). Character names from soap operas rate pretty low with me, too. Names I like? If I couldn't have mine, perhaps Robert or Richard. I have no strong preferences as far as women's names go, other than to note that a lot of women that I have been attracted to over the years have been named Deborah (or Debra), or some combination of Mary and Elizabeth.
5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com accurate? How or how isn't it?
( Did they get it right? )
Huh. That actually seems fairly accurate. A lot of it is certainly how I often think of myself. I can be awfully annoying. OTOH, the analyses that I'd get if I were a Richard or a Robert also seem to fit. I'm not sure what to think about that.
Edited to further analyze the results.
