I should not be allowed to shop for Christmas presents. I spend too much on myself whenever I'm out. Case in point, this morning I was in Sam's Club, picking up some gifts for the nieces and nephews. For some time now, Sam's has been offering a gorgeous oak tool chest that I have coveted muchly. Unfortunately, at $99, it was a bit too pricey for me. Today, they were selling them for $48. I didn't even think twice. Now there's one sitting on my workbench downstairs. At least I restrained myself from buying that GPS unit they have.

The same thing happened when I was ordering on Amazon the other night. Sure, I got a bunch of gifts, but I also ordered four DVDs for myself. The first one showed up today, The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming! Haven't seen it in years. What a great, funny flick. So many good bits. Also enroute are The Producers, The Twelve Chairs, and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World. Instant '60s comedy film festival!

While at Sam's, I also picked up a pack of blank tapes, so I can make some copies of the F2F video for askye and Saguaro. Still haven't gotten tired of watching it. We had so much fun.

Tomorrow, it's off to Boston to watch The Princess Bride with the Somervillains.

In other news, we had six inches of snow Thursday, so I missed volleyball again. I haven't played since Halloween, what with being sick and Thanksgiving. And I'm going to miss it again this Thursday, because I have tickets for a preview showing of Star Trek, Nemesis. Drat!
