Another gorgeous day... Wanted to take a ride on the bike, but by the time I got home from work and the supermarket the sun was already setting. Instead, I took a walk up to Dry Bridge after dinner, not quite two miles round trip. The foot is still sore, but not enough to prevent me from doing stuff. Mostly it means I'll pay for any foot related activities the next morning. I should probably go back to taping it every day.

The road to the bridge is residential next to my street, but is mostly woods and light industry for the rest of it's length. There are no streetlights in that section, just exterior lights on some of the buildings, so it's frelling dark, and even a bit spooky. Fortunately there's rarely any traffic, so I can just walk down the middle of the road like I own it. There was a streetlight on the other side of the bridge, but it seems to be dead now, so it's pitch black near the bridge.

The only real problem is that walking alone out there in the dark is that it gives me way too much time to think about stuff. This is especially true if I'm obsessing about something. My imagination can really run riot if I've got nothing else around to distract it. That's usually not a good thing, because at some point I'll realize that all the good stuff I've been imagining will most likely never, ever, come to pass, and I get so depressed.
